THE NEW INK JET HEAT TRANSFER PAPER

P950 / P951

GENERAL USE

This new transfer paper for inkjet printers can be printed with 1441 dpi and is especially suitable for high-resolution photographs.  You can image all  white and light colored fabrics made of cotton or cotton blend, as well as synthetic fabrics, (polyester, nylon, etc.).  Create your own t-shirts, caps, mousepads, bags.

SOME EXPERIMENTS MIGHT BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN BEST RESULTS WITH YOUR PRINTER AND HEAT PRESS OR IRON

 

PRINTERS / SETTINGS

All common inkjet printers can be used (Epson, Canon, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark eg.)

·         Use single sheet feeding only

·         Print on coated, rough side of the transfer paper in right reading (not in mirror image) DO NOT USE T-SHIRT TRANSFER SETTING

·         For best results use high-resolution or photo-quality option

·         Trim away the unprinted paper around you image

·         Generally it is recommended to increase color density when imaging

 

PREPARATION

• Put garment on hard smooth surface (countertop or table). DO NOT USE IRONING BOARD
• Put a pillowcase or another t-shirt underneath garment in order to let the heat penetrate the transfer
• Remove paperbacking from transfer film  (Tip: Tear paperbacking ¼” for easy removal)
• Position imaged transfer film on garment with printed side face up
• Cover imaged transfer film with enclosed silicon paper (This is to protect the imaged transfer film)

 

HAND IRONING AND HEAT PRESS SETTING ARE APPROXIMATE.  ALL IRONS AND HEAT PRESSES ARE DIFFERENT SOME EXPERIMENTS MAY BE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO OBTAIN THE BEST RESULTS

 

HAND IRONING INSTRUCTIONS

• Adjust Iron at highest temperature setting
• Step press, with firm pressure, slowly along each side of the image.  Hold each press for 45 seconds, ensure all edges and corners are firmly pressed.  Continue to step press over the entire image, again each step press should be held for 45 seconds until entire image has been pressed and all areas have been pressed for 45 seconds each. Remove silicon when cool.
• Total ironing time should be 5 – 6 minutes for 8.5 X 11 size image

 

HEAT PRESS INSTRUCTIONS

• Onto cotton/cotton blends: 25 seconds, 375F, firm pressure
• Onto Synthetic fabrics: 15 seconds, 350F, firm pressure

 

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS / ALL GARMENTS SHOULD BE WASHED BEFORE WEARING

• Always turn textile inside out before washing
• Machine wash WARM 40C  Preferably hang dry
• Do not use harsh or bleaching materials including detergent with bleach or bleach alternatives
• Optional: Tumble dry with cool air setting
